The Union x Air Jordan 4 “30th Anniversary – Taupe Haze” is a collaboration between the Los Angeles-based boutique and Jordan Brand on a colorway of the iconic retro basketball shoe that pays homage to the former’s 30th anniversary. A June 2021 release, the “Taupe Haze” features a mesh construction that is similar to the design of Union’s prior Jordan 4 collaborations, the “Off Noir” and “Guava Ice” of 2020. Inspired by outdoors and mountain gear from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, the “Taupe Haze” displays Taupe Haze-colored mesh on the toe and heel and underneath the white netting on both the tongue and mid-panel. Turquoise “wings” pop against the aforementioned neutral colored base. Tan suede can be found on the mudguard above the cream-colored rubber midsole. Additional details include Taupe Haze laces with turquoise speckling, classic “Nike Air” branding on the heel, and a shortened tongue measured to the specifications of Chris Gibbs, Union’s owner. The look, which first appeared on Union’s first Jordan 4 collaborations from 2020, is folded over and stitched down. The wearer has the ability to remove the stitching to obtain a traditional Air Jordan 4 look. Release date: June 20, 2021.
